Momus is a classical satire attributed to Lucian of Samosata. The work features Momus, the Greek god of mockery and satire, who is expelled from Olympus for his constant criticism of the other gods and their creations. He finds fault with everything, including the creation of man, the house of Poseidon, and even Zeus himself. Momus's relentless and often humorous critiques offer a unique perspective on the flaws and follies of gods and mortals alike.
This edition preserves the wit and wisdom of this timeless satire, making it accessible to modern readers. Momus remains a relevant commentary on the nature of criticism and the human condition. A valuable read for those interested in classical literature and philosophy.
