What if God asked you and your family to go to
the depths of Africa as a missionary...today...really?
After pastoring for many years, I was now working in a local church waiting for a new assignment from heaven; that's what God asked me, David Baldwin, to do. This book will tell you the amazing story of how being faithful and obedient to God's voice, changed our family, our church, and more importantly the whole district of Moyamba starting in the village of Mombawa. Before God spoke, I had never heard of this place and never dreamed of ever being there, of course.
But wait...there's more. You may be saying to yourself, I'm not going to go to Africa or delve into missions like David Baldwin did. But when God speaks to you to do something, how will you respond?
This story of a man's faithful obedience will change your life! Here's what Pastor Baldwin promises...
You can learn from my journey how to be faithful and obedient to the Lord in your walk with Christ. I want to impart to you many godly principles and life lessons that will empower you to deepen your faith and obey His voice whatever the cost or consequences in the world you may face. Scripture tells us that every person who builds a tower must count the cost. Faithful listening and obeying God's voice in every decision of life will build a legacy which will bless others and give glory to God.
Throughout each chapter and at each chapter's conclusion, there will be an opportunity for you to reflect, meditate, and act upon what God is asking of you in every aspect of your life. Ultimately, this book isn't about me, but what God was doing in me and through me to share the gospel with others. What kind of book is your life writing?
- What distractions do you need to overcome in order to listen to God's voice?
- What is God asking you to be faithful and obedient in doing at this very moment?
God will speak to you personally through these pages. Will you read? Will you listen? Will you obey?
