After my mother passed away, I felt compelled to write. What I thought would be a personal chronicle in order to process my mother's death and my own grief quickly turned into more. Not only was I channeling my grief and experience into words, but I knew without a doubt in the moments, hours, and days that followed, my mother was communicating with me.
