The Difference Between Copying and Creating
Every macrame book can teach you knots. That's the easy part. Three knots, the Lark's Head, the Square Knot, the Double Half Hitch, are the foundation of almost everything you'll ever make. Learn those, and you can replicate 90% of the projects you'll find online.
But replication isn't creation. And if you're picking up this book, I suspect you want more than just the ability to copy someone else's work. You want to eventually look at a piece of cord and think: I know what I want to make. I know how to make it. And it will look like me.

I've organized this book differently than other macrame guides. Not because I wanted to be different, but because I believe learning to create requires a different kind of structure.

First, you need to understand how knots combine with intention. How different fibers create different textures and drama. How to fix mistakes when they happen, because they will happen, and that's completely normal.
Part Three: Modern Mastery is where you begin to find your voice. Incorporating beads and unexpected elements. Tackling larger projects without fear. And finally, the question that matters most: what do you want your work to say?
