Memory rarely returns all at once.
It arrives unexpectedly in the scent of warm bread, in a voice heard across a crowded room, in a street remembered years after leaving it behind.
Sometimes it appears in the quiet hours of evening. Sometimes in the ordinary details of a day we believed had been forgotten.
They dwell among memories, absences, departures, and returns, searching for the traces left behind by people, places, and versions of ourselves that continue to live within us.
Because perhaps nothing we have truly loved ever disappears completely.
It simply learns how to exist in memory.
