Naiche's Apache name meant Mischief Maker. He was the second son of the magnificent chieftain Cochise and became the last heriditary chief of the Chokonen Chiricahuas. Naiche was born into a world of war as Apaches raided and killed to prevent the extinction of their race. It was much more than mischief, it was full-fledged war for survival. Naiche and Geronimo rode together as the last surviving free Apaches before suffering twenty-seven years as prisoners of war. This is his story.
