When Arnold stumbles into Ellen and Andy's back yard, he begins an unexpected series of great adventures which parallel those found in great works of literature. Because armadillos don't see well, the kids fashion special glasses for him. Once Arnold puts them on, he magically can talk and see clearly the world around him for the first time - a world of beauty, excitement, adventure, goofiness, and laughter, but most of all new and wonderful friendships. Kids will fall in love with Arnold the Armadillo and adults will appreciate the moral of each tale as kids are creatively introduced to great works from Shakespeare, Chaucer, Edgar Allen Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, Homer, Mark Twain, and more.
