Minor Sketches of Major Folk and Where They Sleep is a book written by Dora C. Jett. The book is a compilation of short biographical sketches of notable individuals who have made significant contributions to American history. The book includes sketches of famous writers, politicians, scientists, and other influential figures. Each sketch provides a brief overview of the individual's life and accomplishments, as well as information about where they are buried. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in American history and the lives of its most prominent figures.1928. The old Masonic burying ground, Fredericksburg, Virginia. These are the days when commendable effort is being made to throw the searchlight on every phase of the past. There seems an omnipresent desire to lift the shadowy curtain of time, light the dark places behind, and glimpse the bearing and customs of those ofttimes worthy men and women, to whom this generation owes much. There is truth in the old proverb, The glory of the children are their fathers. The reader will find a myriad of little sketches on a wide variety of known persons. Illustrated. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
