When they grew up, most of them met in the United States of America and became friends in the international and/or military spouse communities in Washington, D.C.

Do you like the foods listed? Or would you try them to find out? Do you play some of the same games? Perhaps, you play a game like hide-and-seek but call it something else! Do you celebrate any of the holidays? Maybe, you will identify with someone based on her philosophy, faith, or religion.
Think of it this way: we don't all like the same foods, but we can still be friends! All of the girls you will meet in the book are friends! They grew up to be such good friends they now say they are sisters!
