Successive passages in the gospel of Mark gave rise to these sonnets. The shape, not the form of the sonnet is what counts for me. Sometimes I use language traditionally accepted by most Christians. At other times I arrive at my own insights from experience and naturally express these in contemporary language. The prophetic element is not intentional.
