Mental Recreations: Or Poetical Essays On Various Subjects is a collection of poems written by Isaac Gumley and published in 1797. The book is divided into several sections, each dealing with a different theme or topic. The poems cover a wide range of subjects, including nature, love, religion, and politics. Gumley's writing style is characterized by its use of rhyme and meter, and his poems are often reflective and contemplative in nature. The collection is considered a significant example of 18th-century poetry and provides insight into the social and cultural context of the time. The book is a valuable resource for students of literature, history, and culture, as well as anyone interested in poetry and the arts. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
