A Memorial For The Perusal Of The Grand Preservative Of Peace And Allegiance Both In His Majesty's Absence From, And Presence With Us is a significant work reflecting the political and religious climate of 18th-century Britain. Penned by Samuel Wesley, this memorial delves into themes of allegiance, peace, and the role of the monarchy. Wesley's treatise offers insight into the prevailing attitudes towards the divine right of kings and the importance of maintaining social order.
This work serves as a valuable resource for understanding the complex relationship between the crown and its subjects during a pivotal period in British history. Wesley's eloquent prose and insightful arguments provide a window into the political and religious ideologies that shaped the era. Scholars of political science, history, and religious studies will find this a compelling examination of enduring themes in governance and loyalty.
