Memoirs Of William Miller: Generally Known As A Lecturer On The Prophecies And The Second Coming Of Christ is a book written by Sylvester Bliss. This book is a detailed account of the life and work of William Miller, who was a prominent figure in the 19th century religious movement known as the Millerites. Miller was known for his lectures on the prophecies of the Bible and his belief in the imminent return of Christ. The book provides a comprehensive overview of Miller's life, from his childhood in rural New York to his rise as a respected lecturer and religious leader. It also delves into the history of the Millerite movement and the events that led up to the Great Disappointment of 1844, when Miller's prediction of Christ's return failed to materialize. Bliss draws on a variety of sources, including Miller's own writings and personal correspondence, to provide a detailed and nuanced portrait of this fascinating figure. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of American religion and the development of millennialism in the 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
