This story is about a cab driver who braves the elements and dangers of the city life in order to transport his passengers to their destination. Lewis Smith displays a tolerance for coping with the demands of the dangers that await him and the physical challenges that he must contend with each and every day. Finally with the challenge being met, cancer is victorious. Lewis Smith has lived a full and rewarding life but there is one challenge he cannot defeat, 'Death'. He fought a brave and determined fight but in the end he could not win. He died with his family mourning him and remembering how it used to be.
