The Measure Of A Man: The Life Of William Ambrose Shedd, Missionary To Persia is a biography written by Mary Lewis Shedd. The book tells the story of William Ambrose Shedd, a missionary who dedicated his life to spreading the gospel in Persia (modern-day Iran) during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The reader is taken on a journey through Shedd's life, from his childhood in rural America to his decision to become a missionary and his subsequent travels to Persia. The book explores the challenges Shedd faced in his work, including language barriers, cultural differences, and political unrest. It also delves into his personal life, including his marriage to fellow missionary Mary Packard and their shared commitment to their work. The Measure Of A Man is a tribute to Shedd's life and legacy, and a testament to the power of faith and perseverance in the face of adversity. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
