Maysa Brown: Rise to Power chronicles, Hugh Hardy's lead character, graduating from college, falling in love with her professor, Michael Green who is more than just her professor, mentor and lover. Michael guides her through her journey to become one of the most powerful and influential people in the world. Michael also possess an extraordinary gift that serves both as a blessing and a curse. This gift allows him to see people's future but he has learned over time that this gift is one which is best kept secret because people will harass you to see where their life is headed. Michael also knows people will attempt exploit his gift for their own greater good. Michael knows enough how to keep people on track for their true destiny by gently nudging people in the right direction even when that path is less favorable. Maysa's deep passion and love for Michael thickens with each passing page in the book but soon Maysa learns the painful truth that she can't be with him. Maysa sets forth on her journey and everything she touches turns to gold except her romantic life her heart so desires. My novel teaches important lessons that in life, every new level is a new devil. Through the struggles of her personal life Maysa continues to excel and impress unknown eyes that are watching her meteoric rise and her unscripted destiny that is before her. Maysa has never imagined nor dreamed of where her path in life is headed but Michael knows and has dedicated himself to ensuring she reaches what will be a monumental change for not only her but the world. Hugh Hardy has been working on this novel for approximately two years. It is my first attempt at writing a novel. I have been writing and rewriting the storyline to insure that the story flows smoothly and keeps the reader's attention as to what will the next page will bring them. My educational background is in business and marketing from Birmingham-Southern College and this has given me an open mind as to how I may want my book marketed and to what audience.
