Max never expected a meteor to crash in his backyard, let alone one carrying a tiny, jelly-like alien. With his loyal dog, Sparky, by his side, Max quickly realizes that the little creature is lost and afraid. Scientists and strangers are already searching for the meteor, and Max must keep his new friend safe.
As they race through the dark forest, the alien reveals its memories-its shipmates lost somewhere in space. With nothing but his telescope, an old radio, and a brilliant idea, Max sets out to send a signal across the stars. When a massive spaceship appears in the night sky, the moment of farewell arrives. The alien must leave, but not without a final gift-a glowing rock, a reminder that friendships can stretch across galaxies.
Perfect for young readers ages 7-11, this heartwarming short story blends adventure, mystery, and the wonder of the unknown.
