Mary, the mother of Jesus is also known in the Islamic world. The Koran mentions it 23 times. The text reports and comments on all the Qur'anic quotations, the quotations that we have in the Canonical Gospels and describes the events of the Apocryphal Gospels in which Mary is mentioned. The Miracles propitiated by Mary thanks to the water used for the bath of the baby Jesus and the bandages that wrapped him. The passages present in the Talmud and in Toledot Yeshu, i.e. the Jewish sources of Mary, are then reported, as well as the passage that Celsus dedicates to the mother of Jesus. A comparative analysis of the texts is then carried out from which it emerges that, in general, the life of Mary in the Koran is the same as described in the Canonical Gospels, from the Annunciation to the birth of Jesus even if narrated in a different way, from the childhood spent in the Temple to the relationship with the Apostles. The Apocryphal Gospels provide a great wealth of information that is the basis of Christian theology.
