MARVELOUS MANIFESTATIONS, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.--Mark 16:17-18. And all these gifts of which I have spoken, which are spiritual, never will be done away, even so long as the world shall stand, only according to the unbelief of the children of men.--Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:1, (small edition). And now I speak unto all the ends of the earth, that if the day cometh that the power and gifts of God shall be done away among you it will be because of unbelief.--Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:2, (small edition). And again, verily I say unto you, to some it is given by the Spirit of God, the word of wisdom; to another it is given the word of knowledge, that all may be taught to be wise and have knowledge. And again to some it is given to have faith to be healed, and to others it is given to have faith to heal. And again to some it is given the working of miracles; and to others it is given to prophesy, and to others the discerning of spirits.
