Chris and Jazz enter their high school years and Martin Brown remains a wise and loving presence in their lives. Continuing in an expanded verse form, Martin Brown: The Trilogy brings humor, wisdom, and connection as Chris and Jazz dodge the pitfalls of teenage life in an inner city school. Chris discovers his ability to use the pen to influence others for good through the school newspaper. The two maintain their close friendship, and by the end of the high school years find they care for one another so deeply that they can hardly stand the pain of parting. Maturity has arrived for both, and the story ends eleven years later with both a heart-wrenching event and a beautiful, God-directed reconnection.
