With a tumultuous China as the setting, the author recalls various historical events that led to Japan's defeat and retreat. In the author's father, readers are introduced to a devoted martial artist with a broad vision and fearless approach to life. With repatriation completed, Hisataka opened Kenkokan Karate Dojo in Tokyo as a martial arts master. Behind this great man was his wise, strong-willed wife who especially shared her abundant affection with their children.
