Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds.
Lena's ex-husband and law partner Nick is charming. Erratic. Brilliant. Quixotic. And maybe Delusional.
His passion for animal and environmental rights constantly gets him in trouble. And Lena inevitably comes to his rescue. When he 'liberates' the lobsters from Minneapolis grocery stores and the only alternative is confinement, Lena even allows him to move home while he performs community service at an animal shelter. And soon she is reminded why she married him, and why they divorced. But when Nick has one more wild idea, only he can imagine how it will end.
The Marriage of True Minds, the opening novel in The Island of Always series, is a funny and heartwarrning tale of a partnership beyond law, beyond marriage, and possibly beyond reality.
Publisher's Note: The Island of Always is a novel in four volumes (or Acts). The volumes can be read independently, but are best enjoyed when read together and in sequence. The volumes are:
The Marriage of True Minds
Let Me Count the Ways
My Winter World
Remember Me
Content Warning: Despite the overall humorous and heartwarming tone, this series also deals with serious issues such as divorce, the loss of a pet, animal euthanasia, divorce, mental health, and suicide. Please keep this in mind before purchasing any of these books.
