Two Marsh Tacky horses trot to a gate at the end of the driveway to wait for feeding time. The bay horse, named Ringo, turns to his companion, Jiffy. Eleven-year-old twins, Bennie and Beth, are moving from the big city of Atlanta, Georgia, to South Carolina's Lowcountry. There they will team up with Ringo and Jiffy for non-stop adventures, making new friends along the way.
