This book is a comprehensive guide that provides detailed information on how to determine a ship's position at sea using the Marc St. Hilaire method. The Marc St. Hilaire method is a traditional method used by navigators to determine a ship's position by measuring the altitude of celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, and stars. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which covers a different aspect of the Marc St. Hilaire method. The first chapter provides an introduction to the method and explains the basic principles behind it.
