Why should one write poetry?
In searching for the answer to this question, I have continuously found myself looking into nature, into society, and into the depths of my own inner world. Along the path of life, while encountering thorns, shadows, and pain - and at times beauty, support, and love - words began to flow unknowingly from my heart. Poetry is the free expression of the subtle emotions within the mind. Every word that emerges from a poet's pen is a reflection of his inner experiences, thoughts, and realizations.
Through these poems, I have expressed the moments I have lived, the life I have observed, the pain I have felt, and the hope that has risen within me. These poems are not merely the ripples of my own mind, but emotions hidden in the life of every individual. Human existence is rooted in struggle, yet it is from this struggle that one discovers beauty, meaning, and inspiration - this realization is woven into each of my poems.
My collection Babool: An Existence is thus a journey of such experiences, of life's true realities, and of deep sensitivity. Through this journey of words, I hope you too will see your own reflection, discover your own questions, and perhaps even find your own answers.- Anil Narayan Pathare
