The Jesus Prayer-Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner-is a distillation of the Gospel and a weapon forged by the breath of the Holy Spirit. The Psalms are not only prayers but cries of war, lament, repentance, and praise that have sustained the people of God from King David to Christ Himself and to this very hour.
