The Mandala of Giving is the second book in the mythic adventure series beginning with The Fox, The Eagle and the Bridge of Remembering. In this story, eight animal friends enter a new realm where the land has forgotten its unity. Guided by a map marked with ancient symbols, each character follows a unique path shaped by an inner gift-gentleness, protection, insight, joy, curiosity, steadiness, cleverness, and vision.
As the animals walk their paths, they discover that their gifts are not skills or careers, but qualities of the heart. Each gift restores balance to a part of the land, helping it remember its wholeness. When all eight paths are complete, the land reforms a glowing mandala, and from its center rises a new Bridge of Remembering-the second bridge foretold in Part One.
Crossing this bridge becomes the symbol of completion and the beginning of what lies beyond: unity lived, gifts shared, and the quiet joy of belonging to a larger whole.
Written for readers ages 10-12, The Mandala of Giving gently introduces children to the idea that they carry inner strengths that can help the world around them.
