The MacGregors is a novel written by Scottish author Home Marshall and first published in 1901. The story is set in the Scottish Highlands and follows the lives of the MacGregor family, a proud and ancient clan. The novel begins with the arrival of a young Englishman named Allan Stewart, who is sent to the Highlands to manage the MacGregor estate. Allan soon becomes involved in the family's affairs and falls in love with one of the MacGregor daughters, Mairi. However, their relationship is complicated by the longstanding feud between the MacGregors and their rivals, the Campbells. The novel explores themes of love, loyalty, and family honor, as well as the tensions between different social classes and cultural traditions. The MacGregors is an engaging and well-written historical novel that provides a vivid portrait of life in the Scottish Highlands at the turn of the 20th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
