Dating them both simultaneously, she's faced with a tough decision. Who does she choose: The man that she met on the internet, or the man she met by chance, like people do in films? She distracts herself by cleaning out her bathroom cupboard and mowing her jungle-like lawn. While doing these things she comes across photos, letters, newspaper cuttings, and her grandmother's diary. Upon reading these items, Lexa discovers information about her grandmother's youth that no-one in the family knew about. She uses this as inspiration to write her first novel.
