This collection, Lettres De Ste... Fondatrice De La Visitation De Ste Marie..., presents a selection of letters written by Jeanne de Chantal, a prominent figure in the history of the Visitation Order. These letters offer invaluable insights into her spiritual life, her relationships with fellow religious figures, and the founding and development of the Visitation. The correspondence sheds light on 17th-century French religious life, providing a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of establishing a new religious order during a period of significant social and religious change.
Readers interested in religious history, the lives of saints, and the history of women in the Catholic Church will find this collection an important primary source. The letters reveal the depth of Jeanne de Chantal's faith and her commitment to her calling.
