Legacy is Eric Overby's most diverse book of poetry yet. It explores his use of poetry as a way to appreciate all the meaningful moments of life. His poetry is often a way to remember legacies that have influenced his life, while some highlight the importance of leaving a personal legacy for the future ahead. In this published work, he uses an array of different styles like free flowing poetry, Japanese haiku, song lyrics, Irish treochair poems, letters to the editor, and short essays. Eric also puts himself into the minds and emotions of others, as in his poem 'Used To Me' and his lyrical poems of the Lonely Traveler. Legacy is a look into what it means to live and what it is we could leave behind for others.
