Harry Wainwright stepped out seven years ago and never came back. Now, he's legally dead, and about to be buried. But surely it's ridiculous, isn't it, burying an empty box?At his father's funeral, Tim gets the surprise of his life. He's inherited a job. Not the one in the tin can factory, but the other one: the one where he has to save the planet. It begins with representing the Fifth Domain at the Multiversal Council, and there's a long tradition to uphold in the voting chamber. It's a long tradition of not turning up. No one wants the hu-mans there, and on the rare occasion they've been foolish enough to take their seat, they haven't lived long enough to regret it. Tim is rather hoping he can buck that trend.
