As part of the TRUE STORIES FROM LAST STOP HORSE RESCUE series, this heartwarming (non-profit) book written with love by Toni Helen is a true story of faith for children of all ages about Benny's journey. It is a children's adaptation of Last Stop Horse Rescue's Benny video honored by the ASPCA as Horse Rescue of the Year 2014 (https: //youtu.be/dggpFBk88kI). You will read and see pictures of how a horse named Benny was found near-death in a field, a prayer that was answered, and his rescuer who with the help of friends, saved his life! Benny's rescuer, Joyce Pomeroy, founded Last Stop Horse Rescue (LSHR) in 2006, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Joyce has 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She is a retired Firefighter/EMT and worked 18 years managing a Cardiology practice. She was also an EMT Instructor for New York State teaching various vocational medical classes as well. Her daughter, Toni Helen, also wrote Believe in Miracles- Lessons from the animals at Last Stop Horse Rescue and Last Stop Horse Rescue Plays Cupid!- Ranked #1 New Release in Children's Books by Amazon! Since becoming a Grandmommy, Joyce recently expanded her rescue to a second location and is now licensed in both Maine and Georgia. This mother-daughter team dedicate themselves to saving abused, starved, and neglected horses. Each horse under their loving care is rehabilitated using Natural Horsemanship, no-force methods. They work closely with Animal Welfare, participate in Veterinarian programs and are always willing to help other animal rescues. LSHR relies solely on the generosity of others to help in their mission. ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT LAST STOP HORSE RESCUE Copyright 2016 Last Stop Horse Rescue All rights reserved
