La Lutte Vocale - a lived experience of denied Fundamental Science, Thresholds and Limits (FSTLs) and The Battle for the Mind (Cognition vs. Memorization)
La Lutte Vocale is an interdisciplinary exploration of vocal development, cognition, and the relationship between scientific principles and human decision-making. Drawing on first-hand experience, the author chronicles the rare journey of guiding an unmodified young voice through successive stages of vocal maturation-from its natural state, through semi-modified, mellow head tone timbre or straight-tone, to the fully modified spinto tenor voice and the development of a full voice-in-head before the age of eighteen.
More than a study of singing, this work examines what the author describes as the role of Fundamental Science, Thresholds, and Limits (FSTLs) in understanding both vocal evolution and broader human behavior. The book argues that genuine knowledge is grounded in observable, testable natural principles rather than in systems sustained primarily through memorization, institutional convention, or financial and political incentives. Through the lens of vocal pedagogy, the author challenges prevailing assumptions within academic and professional communities and proposes that many accepted practices fail to recognize measurable developmental processes.
Interwoven with this vocal case study is a broader philosophical inquiry into cognition versus memorization. The author contends that societies, institutions, and representative authorities often substitute conditioned belief and procedural conformity for evidence-based reasoning, producing decisions that depart from fundamental scientific limits and lawful principles. These themes are developed through the author's Dominant Hypothesis Challenge (DHC) framework and the proposed PF Mechanism, both presented as hypotheses intended for critical examination, empirical testing, and scholarly debate.
