Love's Graduate: A Comedy is a play written by John Webster and first published in 1885. The play is set in the early 19th century and revolves around the story of a young man, Harry, who has just graduated from college and is in love with his childhood sweetheart, Lucy. However, Lucy's father is against their relationship and has arranged for her to marry someone else. Harry, determined to win Lucy's hand, comes up with a plan to prove himself worthy of her love. He takes on the persona of a wealthy and successful businessman, and through a series of comedic misunderstandings and mishaps, manages to win over Lucy's father and secure his future with the woman he loves. The play is a lighthearted and humorous take on the theme of love and the obstacles that often stand in the way of true happiness. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
