Beneath the skies over New York, a story unfolds of a young man's desire to achieve success. Experiencing negative taunts as a youth from a teacher, and a false criminal accusation as an adult, could easily have made him lose his vision. But did it? Following in the same vein as its predecessor, 'Lovers Rock: Let The Music Play, ' this second instalment continues the stories of life and love. You will laugh, cry, and be truly amazed at this tale that includes: love, jealousy, family reunions, a tropical wedding, an anniversary party you'd want to be a part of, and plenty more.Spanning the years 1976 to 1981, part two is set in the same time frame as the first book, this time focusing on what was going on in the lives of new central characters, Junior and Marlena, in the US. Due to missed opportunities, these two are blind to their true love for one another. Both are university graduates with brilliant careers ahead of them, but what will it take for them to see real love?In Jamaica, the double wedding that was only briefly mentioned in the epilogue of the first book, is expanded on in all its glory.Familiar characters return and new ones will appear; And once again you will be racing through the pages, eager to find out what happens next. But have no fear, you won't be disappointed. Get ready for an international journey, taking in these locations: Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, London, and Montego Bay.Several intertwining tales are all held together with a musical soundtrack featuring 48 classic Lovers Rock songs, that blend in beautifully with the story-line. Listen to the soundtrack, as you read the book, on my YouTube playlist: Lovers Rock 2 Manhattan Skyline/Hartley Hines
