Loverin's Historical Centograph and Slate is a book written by Nelson Loverin in 1876. The book provides a detailed description of the Chart of Time, which is a visual representation of historical events that occurred over a period of 6,000 years. The Chart of Time is divided into different eras and epochs, and it includes significant events such as the rise and fall of empires, the birth of religions, and the invention of important technologies. The book also includes a description of the Historical Centograph and Slate, which is a tool that was used to teach history in schools during the 19th century. The Historical Centograph is a wooden frame with a series of slats that can be moved to display different historical periods, while the Slate is a board that can be used to write notes and annotations.Loverin's Historical Centograph and Slate is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the study of history and the development of historical teaching tools. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the way history was taught in the past, and it offers insights into the ways in which historical knowledge has been transmitted over time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
