At its core, the system promises order and protection from emotional chaos. Yet beneath the bureaucracy of approval forms and compliance checks lies a deeper erosion of human autonomy. Families fracture under policy, relationships become transactions, and genuine connection is forced into secrecy.
As enforcement tightens and dissent grows, individuals begin to question whether love can still exist when it must be authorised-and what it means to remain human in a society where even the heart requires state consent.
