It examines the believer's complete dependence upon Christ for justification, sanctification, wisdom, victory, and spiritual life. Faith is presented not as human merit, but as the surrender of self-reliance and the reception of Christ as the believer's complete provision.

The book then examines the law written upon the heart. Rather than presenting law and gospel as opposing principles, it explores their relationship through Christ: the law reveals the character of God, while the gospel brings Christ into the life to create the obedience that human effort cannot produce. Obedience becomes the fruit of faith and restored love rather than a means of earning acceptance with God.

A central section turns to the biblical portrait of love, especially the principles of 1 Corinthians 13. Here love is considered not merely as emotion or sentiment, but as a governing principle expressed through patience, truth, humility, forgiveness, service, endurance, and concern for the genuine good of others.

The study then brings Christlike love into practical relationships.
