LOVE: A Play in Poetry & FIRST LOVE STORY (The Only Miracle) Poems by Paul Smith From the Introduction: The history of Love has been written by few historians - why is that? Because love cannot be pinpointed to a time and place... because, it is in all times and all places. It is responsible for every sequence of events - it is also beyond all that, as a matter of fact, events are the responsibility of love, they are the tools with which love works: 'Love, is its own reason for being' Meher Baba. Love's game is so simple, yet... seemingly so complicated. Love complicates events to make the game more worthwhile. The objective of the game is reunion. There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet been identified by us. This universal force is... love. Albert Einstein. 117 loving pages! COMMENTS ON PAUL SMITH'S TRANSLATION OF HAFIZ'S 'DIVAN'.It is not a joke... the English version of ALL the ghazals of Hafiz is a great feat and of paramount importance. I am astonished.
