During the recession of 2009, an average middle-class couple found themselves without a home. Their income was gone; bills were piling up. Three months later, the house went dark; the faucets were dry. A Foreclosure Notice was left on the door. They packed up everything that would fit in one truck and left their beloved home behind.
It was a race against time to find a job and a new home before they lost their only means of transportation as well. With no money, no credit or employment, things looked bleak. They needed jobs when nobody was hiring. They were willing to let it all go-all but their four dogs.
This book is about resilience, honor and dignity. It's about friendship and best friends. It's about love and marriage. It's about the love we have for our pets.
Because giving up was not an option.
