The Academic Director of a college-semester-abroad program in West Berlin welcomed his twelve students from various US universities for the Spring semester 1989. They and the following Fall semester would participate in the East-West Relations program which included lectures at the Free University plus visits to East Germany and Poland. These all of these events gradually led the AD to the final conclusion that he was on the cusp of profound political changes which could, in the final analysis, lead to the ending of the Cold War in Europe. As a result, this short book provides a month-by-month time-line of those remarkable events - a veritable eye-witness to history in the making. This transformation would usher in a whole new era in Europe.
