Long ago memories are brought to life with poignancy, humour, insight and charm!

Bill Peters asked me to write an offhanded, maybe even funny blurb for this book, but I'm not playing along - because I'm moved by these fragments of memory, and I admire his writing. His nostalgia is almost secretively ethical; his memories of place and characters are far more insightful and historically significant than he's letting on. I'm sorry, Bill.
