Jesus answered by giving them at least twenty-three signs, or prophecies that Christians would see fulfilled before the end and his return. He tells us, Our generation has seen at least nineteen, possibly twenty, of Jesus' prophecies fulfilled; more than any other generation has seen. Jesus assures us that the generation that sees all of them will not pass until they are all fulfilled. In short, the present generation could be the generation that sees the Lord's return, and the end of the world, as we have known it.
