Lost, afraid, dirty and hungry, Charlie was found in a parking lot and adopted by a new family when they were unable to find his previous owners. The Little Throw-Away Dog soon became a part of the family, delighting everyone with his sweetness, high spirits and zany personality. The story shows the love and the good times shared by the man, the woman and little Charlie over their 15 years together. Although the story has a bittersweet ending, it's clear that the family's pain is outweighed by their priceless memories of Charlie, a small dog who had a big place in their home and their hearts. -------------------- Throw-away Dog Finds a Loving Home
New Book Traces the Tie that Binds a Dog and a Family Palm Desert, CA - (February 11, 2005) - Lost. Afraid. Dirty. Hungry. That was how one family found Charlie, the poor, little dog whose adventures are closely followed in Carmen Merstik's poignant new book The Little Throw-away Dog. Abandoned and homeless, Charlie was found in a parking lot and adopted by a new family when they were unable to find his previous owners. The little throw-away dog soon became a part of the family, delighting everyone with his sweetness, high spirits and zany personality. The story shows the love and the good times shared by the man, the woman, and little Charlie over their fifteen years together. Although The Little Throw-Away Dog has a bittersweet ending, it is clear that the family's pain is outweighed by their priceless memories of Charlie, a small dog who had a big place in their home and hearts. In this story, the reader is taken on a journey to what really matters in life and the courage to let go when time asks for it. The Little Throw-Away Dog * By Carmen Merstik
