Daughter of Joel Peck and Lucy Fish (b. 1775), his wife, m. 1792. Joel Peck, (1759-1833), served as a private in Capt. Thomas Allen's company 1777 and 1778 served under Capt. Vial Allen, Col. Nathan Miller. In 1832 he applied for a pension and it was allowed for twenty months' actual service as private, R. I. line. He was born and died in Barrington, R. I. MRS. ANNA MARGARET CHASE SHELDON. 42069 Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Wife of Charles Herbert Sheldon. Descendant of Lieut. Jonathan Smith, of Rhode Island. Daughter of Julian Augustine Chase and Martha J. Wheaton, his wife. Granddaughter of James Lucas Wheaton and Anna Maria Jencks, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Charles B. Jencks and Anna Eliza Smith, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Thomas Smith and Phebe Bowen, his wife. Gr.-gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Jonathan Smith and Freelove Boss, his wife. Jonathan Smith, (1746-1841), served with the Scituate Hunters. He was at the siege of Boston; battles of Long Island, Trenton, Princeton; was at Valley Forge and served to the close of the war. He was placed on the pension roll of Provi dence Co., R. I., 1831 for service as lieutenant, Rhode Island Continental line. He was born and died in Scituate.
