Lilith: The Legend Of The First Woman is a novel by Ada Langworthy Collier that explores the mythical character of Lilith, who is said to be the first woman created by God before Eve. The book delves into the ancient legends and myths surrounding Lilith, who is often depicted as a demon or a seductress. The story follows Lilith's journey from her creation to her eventual banishment from the Garden of Eden. It explores her relationships with Adam, Eve, and the serpent, as well as her struggles with her own identity and desires. Throughout the book, Collier interweaves elements of Jewish, Christian, and Islamic mythology to create a rich and complex portrait of Lilith. She also incorporates feminist themes, exploring Lilith's role as a powerful and independent woman who challenges traditional gender roles. Overall, Lilith: The Legend Of The First Woman is a thought-provoking and engaging novel that offers a fresh perspective on a timeless myth.
