Ken Lang once served as a patrol officer for the Havre de Grace Police Department and found he did not enjoy the small town politics that came with the territory. His transition to one of the largest agencies in the United States-the Baltimore County Police Department-gave him more than he bargained. In his riveting memoir, Lang shares the tragic events that brought him to his decision to pursue a career in law enforcement-specifically to work as a homicide detective, the hurdles he encountered while sprinting towards career goals, and the accomplishments that brought him to his newfound passion. Through his true crime prose, Lang shares some of the most intimate details as a patrol officer, violent crimes detective, and the harsh realities faced in the pursuit of justice. A Life of Crime is a story about experiencing the trauma crime brings to society, wrestling with faith, and finding a new pathway that brings about true justice.
