After losing her job and its built-in social network, Francesca is spending too much time alone and consumed with her thoughts. Physically isolated and desperate for change, she finds inspiration in the pages of an old journal. Writing always gave her purpose and satisfaction, but now it only seems to raise terrifying questions: When did her dream get lost and can it be found again? Is she good enough? Is it too old? Is it too late?
The answers come when Francesca's husband proposes a trip to Italy, to reconnect with friends and each other. At the same time, a publishing house expresses interest in Francesca's writing. Poised on the edge of literal and figurative rediscovery, will Francesca move forward down this life-changing path, or take the easy road back to the safety of dreams?
Fornelli's debut novel is an introspective journey down the path of life that will resonate with anyone daring to pursue a dream.
