Not everyone will be able to keep his or her soul once we die because there are more ways we can lose our soul and only one way we can retain it. Our soul is the one talent Christ spoke of. Will it fall on hard rock where it will be scorched by heat?
Will it fall among thorns where it will choke and suffocate?

The most critical knowledge we need to have while living is how to preserve our soul so that once we die, we do not lose it. Our soul does not need to be saved from sin, for the soul never sins. It does not need to be saved from hell, suffering or eternal damnation, for the soul can never suffer. Only the physical body with its mind and emotions can suffer. What the soul needs to be saved from is annihilation, extinction and loss forever.
